• Hello,

I am transitioning from an old html site to my new wordpress site. I have an issue since I have a bunch of fliers made with QR codes that link to mysite.com/welcome.htm.

I dont want all my fliers to go to waste, so I would like to add the welcome.htm file to my new wordpress directory so that when the QR code is scanned, it will still take users to the site I need.

How can I go about doing this?

  • You should be able to just put the file in the same directory with the WordPress files. There is a slim chance that you might get a conflict but I doubt it in your case.

You could also create a WordPress page and 301 redirect welcome.htm to your new welcome page.
