I send out a blog post once a week. For the past two weeks, the link to the full blog post on my site is working exceptionally slow. When clients get an email announcing my blog post and click on the “Read more of this post” link, they go to a blank page that with a swirling wheel of doom. The blog page eventually comes up after about two minutes. Note that the blog is indeed posted. Any ideas?

    Hi there,

Thanks for your patience and for bearing with us; we’re working on a backlog of support requests at this time, and we generally answer in the order received.

I suspect that you stumbled upon a known bug: https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/35679

I short, there seems to be a conflict with third-party speed optimization plugins that lazy load iframe responsible for the redirect.

If possible, you could try to adjust the plugin settings to avoid lazy loading of the iframe with?id="user-content-link-redirection"?or disable it for the page that includes the??action=user_content_redirect?URL parameter.

Alternatively, try disabling any speed optimization plugins you’re running and see how it goes.

Since I was checking for this issue, I did some connection tests on your site and the Jetpack connection is not working well, which can affect the above mentioned problem too. The site is also a little slow to load, which doesn’t help.

To fix this, which is likely caused by a block at the server’s end, check for any security/caching plugins you may have enabled, and try temporarily disabling them to see if it fixes the problem. You may also want to search for any firewall on your server side that might be blocking the communication with the xmlrpc.php file – your host should be able to help you with that.

Hope that’s all clear! Let me know how you get on.
