Link to filter on page with multiple galleries

Hi there, and thanks for this great plugin.

I have an issue on filtering items. I have a page setup with two galleries: one that contains my posts, filterable by category. Below that, there is another gallery, this one including images, without any filters.

When I visit the page, everything works fine. But when I link directly to a certain category, e.g. mywebsite.com/page/?vp_filter=category:x the filter applies to both albums, resulting in the top gallery showing the filtered items, but the bottom one not showing any items (as they have no category/filters). Is there any solution to this?
