Hi folks, what’s the recommended method for content editors to get back to their “rewrite and republish” draft if they save a draft, stop working, and then want to come back to it later?

Is there some sort of link from the original, live post to the “rewrite and republish” draft post?

As a workaround, I’ve figured that people can bookmark their draft post while they’re editing it, if they remember to do this.

Or they can search for the draft post from within the list of posts. However, these options take people out of their normal workflow, and in the latter case, can add a bunch of extra steps.

For comparison, if a person wants to edit an Autosave draft, they simply edit the live post, and click the option to work on the draft. Is there a similar, easy way to get back to rewrite and publish drafts?

    Hi Joe,

When you click on the ‘rewrite & republish’ function, it will create a separate draft in the posts overview page with the wording (—?Draft,?Rewrite & Republish of?xxxx), and you will be taken to edit that draft right away.

If you go back to the posts overview page click on ‘edit’ on the original post, there should be a notice that would display the following text:

A duplicate of this post was made. Please note that any changes you make to this post will be replaced when the duplicated version is republished.

However, there isn’t a link from the original post to the rewrite & republish draft post. You’ll have to search for it in the posts overview page to go back and edit the draft.
