    Hi there,

    I was wondering if it’s possible to link to the categories on the FAQ accordion?

    We have quite a few FAQs, so I was hoping to drop in some anchor links to link to from other pages.

  • Hi There,

    Yes, you can link to the FAQ categories. Just enable the “Add FAQ URL Attribute” in FAQ general settings.

    Set the display mode (in the general settings) as Simple Accordion by category or Category Accordion.

    Then go to your FAQ page and select the category that you want to link to. You can see it’s URl in the top. You can use that URL anywhere to link to that particular category.

    I’m asking here coz it’s related to the above question.

    I’ve enabled link to categories and its working fine.

    Can I enable links to the categories title rather than the post?

    Hi There,

    Yes, you can. Just set the Display Mode (in our Helpie FAQ settings) to “Simple Accordion by category” or “Category Accordion”. And go to your FAQ page and select the FAQ category.

    You can see the Anchor link for that category when you click on that FAQ category.

    I can not get this to work? My categories are not clickable?

    I have changed a file so I can create a H3 with a category-ID, but I’m not seeing any HREF’s or something ?? It does work on the LI-elements

    Anyway. Thanks for the attention and the nice plugin. One of the first that actually worked with filter. ??

    Sorry for the confusion. As of now, the anchor link to the categories will work in “Category Accordion” display mode.

    In the above shortcode, just change the display_mode to category accordion and the anchor link would be displayed for categories.

    We would give an option for it to be displayed in the “Simple accordion by category” display mode also in the future. I will make sure to let you know once this is pushed up. Thanks much for the catch.
