Link thumbnails or caption

@photocrati- is there a link to download latest beta through wordpresS? I follower your instructions and it said “fatal error” when I tried to reactivate the plugin.

it said “fatal error occured”.

@fashionlushxx – Can you provide a screen shot of this error message, or a link to a page that can be viewed showing this error.

There is just not enough information with “fatal error occured”. You also might consider rolling back your site to the current release version 2.0.33 … see this page for more details: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/how-to-rollback-a-version/

Okay so I got it to install correctly- I redid the process, no more fatal error.

Yet when I try to add a link to the caption, the view of it looks odd seen here: https://www.bowwowgal.com/ng

Also, I uploaded the nextgen custom fields & I am trying to link the thumbnail as well to a post- that isn’t working, just taking me to the image file.

Any help?

@fashionlushxx – We have a partial fix in our latest (beta) that will help sort out the issue you are seeing with links in your captions (we are still working on this issue so it may not work exactly as expected at the moment). As to the functionality of a third-party extension of NextGEN Gallery, have you checked with the plugin author to ensure it is compatible with the current NextGEN Gallery version?

I have installed the latest gallery- wasn’t this supposed to make it so that I can link the text in the captions?

@fashionlushxx – The latest beta version does allow for the parsing of HTML in the descriptions of galleries and images which includes the use of the standard <a> (anchor) tags among others.
