Hi it appears the text for the linking in this is too long and gives me errors and warnings..

How do i fix this as it only hides the text although it is still there in the page?? It appears the link text is the excerpt for some weird reason?

    This is the warning:

links use text that is too long. Links should describe what they link to briefly. Linking a long block of text usually indicates an attempt to trick search engines into ranking those keywords highly (a strategy which does not work). Long linked blocks of text are also harder for people to scan.

    Hi,

The link should be the read more usually, not the full text.
Do you have a link of the website where you have the problem?

    Thanks.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

i do not have the read more enabled and with this it turns the whole image and text into a link giving errors.

i can see you have used ellipsis which is shortening the text but only hiding it from view. if you inspect the element you can see there is a lot more text behind it. Also how do i add alt or title tags to the image? Everything i add just breaks it.

    here is the page https://battlefieldinformer.com/blog/

Note: even with read more enabled the whole container is still one giant link is there a way just to have the image as a link?

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay, I was checking what we can do with the team. Currently, this is the default behavior of the plugin, so the warning will always be there, there’s no quick trick to that.

I will plan for a future version to select where the link is activated (image, text, read more…)

    Cheers,
