Link tags

So, instead of the links being displayed grouped by categories, you would just want to see them display grouped by tags?

This is not something I had planned to implement, but it is something I could add in.

I would just like to make sure I fully understand how you would see this being implemented before I build the wrong thing.

What I mean is that the links could be arranged both after category and tags.

My site links to genealogy links. For examble a US Census would be in the category USA and have the tag Census.

This way user could look up all links listed under USA and (with your fix) all Censuses listed in the directory (wether they are from the US, Germany or Norway.

As you see I have countries as categories and type of genealogy source as tag. Some links have multiple categories and multiple tags listed to them.

Just ask if something is unclear ????

Ok, I understand the functionality that you have in mind. I have started looking at what it would take to broadly allow users be able to use either categories or tags to display links and doing it would mean ripples throughout most of Link Library’s code base.

Are you actually displaying the tags at the moment when displaying the links by country? Or are the tags assigned but not displayed? If the latter, I would have some suggestions on how to use the current functionality of Link Library to achieve a similar result. If the former, then I don’t have an alternative solution.

Is this for a commercial or personal project? Estimating roughly, I would say that I would need to invest 10-20 hours to add support for this functionality. Even with funding, I would likely not be able to commit this time in the next month. Do you have a specific deadline to meet with this project?

This is for a privat website funded with a small income from Adsense. Even though I would be willing to compensate you to some degree for the work done. What would you consider to be a fair amount?

I do display the tags after the link.

One other thing. To discover broken links I understand that the plugin rely on 404, 403, etc messages. Would it be much job to ad a feature where people could also could report broken URLs?
