• This is odd. When I type in (or use the link button to create) Click
it shows up as underlined and live in the preview, but all I get is text when I publish. The link isn’t working. Any thoughts?

  • URL to your site so we can see it?

Also, what plugins do you have activated?

I’ve a few ideas, but without a link, no way to work through them.

This could be a case of the_excerpt. Often on archive/index page the post text is shown as a shorter excerpt (with <?php the_excerpt(); ?>) where no formatting nor images are shown.

See if the links are visible on the post’s individual page. If they are, and you want the links and things to show elsewhere as well, change the_exceprt (probably in Main and Archive templates) to the_content

Thanks for the responses. The url is https://www.slowdownnow.org
    Example here: https://www.slowdownnow.org/?cat=3
I have Brian Groce’s WordPress Email Notification plugin v2.1 (which I have now deactivated).
The other active plugins are Page to Front and Markdown. I just deactivated Markdown too.
Still get the same issue. href is ignored.

As I said, the links aren’t shown in archive view because it uses the_excerpt which strips out all images, links and formatting

Thanks, but I just made a test post (not archive) and the link isn’t working. But I made a test page and it is working. Any more thoughts?

OOps! Sorry. I made a test post and, as you say, the link isn’t showing in the archive mode but when I click on the title and see the whole thing. The link is working. Thank you!
