• Hello all!

I am having an issue. Have wordpress, woocommerce, elementor and urna installed. There is an option to turn links into link previews as you can see if you scroll down the description. However, when you press the link, nothing happens. If you right-click and select “open in new tab” it works, so the link itself is valid, its just that something is stopping it from being clicked.

I am not sure what the issue could be

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • This preview is created as an iframe in which JavaScript exists which prevents any clicks on links. Unfortunately, I don’t see exactly where this JavaScript comes from, but I suspect the theme you are using is the cause.

As a test, you could change the theme to a standard theme and see if it works. If so, your commercial theme is responsible and you would have to contact their support for a solution: https://themeforest.net/item/urna-allinone-woocommerce-wordpress-theme/22329355/support – questions about commercial products are here Forum not permitted.

    Thanks for a quick reply!

That’s not it though – I tried swapping out for a couple of standard themes and the issue still persists.

I have just tried to recreate this in my own home. With TwentyTwentyFour as the default theme and embedding via the embed block. This produces pretty much exactly the same source code as you see – the script that prevents the click can also be seen (so it obviously comes from WordPress for embedding content), but it doesn’t prevent me from clicking on links within the embed.

Deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce. If it then works, it is due to one of the plugins.
