    I didn’t reproduce a such issue with Twenty Fifteen and Polylang 1.7.8. Even after update the new pages.

    Did you try with your theme + only Polylang with all the other plugins deactivated?

    Yes, it is the “Content Update Notification” plugin that causes the linking not to work.
