Link no longer works on my iPhone

    I’ve been using CM Tooltip Glossary for a while now and love it.

    Works great on my PC for my pages.

    I use it primarily on words/phrases where a hover over will display an image and a click will open up another page.

    However, I noticed just today that on my iPhone 12 a click does NOT open up another page. If you click on the highlighted word/phrase the image is displayed correctly but the link to another page does not. This used to work before!!!!!

    Obviously, hovering does not work on an iPhone but the link should still work.

    What happened?

    Thanks for the kind words! It’s really nice to read some positive feedback for a change ??

    As for the issue – on mobiles tooltip work differently as there’s no hover effect (obviously) we have developed a functionality which shows additional link below th tooltip content, but this feature is only available in Pro version.

    I am pretty sure this used to work on the free version.

    In other words, on mobile, the highlighted tooltip text link would popup up an image or popup text. Then, if you click on the image or popup text it would behave like a regular text link — set under the “Page links to” section.

    Oh well….

    If you can verify that on mobile the popup text or image can link to another page, I will upgrade to the essential or advanced version of the plugin.

    I think we had a misunderstanding – you can put a link behind the images and they will work even in the free version. I just checked on your site (on iPhone and on mobile emulator) and when the image pops up it can be clicked and it does redirect. You must have added the links manually to each image though.

    The feature I meant adds the link on the bottom of the the tooltip text automatically.
