When I have the “Apply custom formatting to broken links” setting enabled, it marks a link that works as broken. I believe this is because the link is http and not https.

The issue is occuring on this page: https://paratext.org/paratext-help-and-support, in the “Scripture Markup USFM Help” section.

I disabled the “Apply custom formatting to broken links” for now, but you can see this screenshot for exactly where the issue occured: https://www.screencast.com/t/pLpTET74y. If you click the “Scripture Markup USFM Help” link, you will see that it is actually working and not broken.

    Thank you,

    James

    Hi @jamesthepost

    I hope you’re well today!

I’ve put that URL on my own test site and run link check. It did detect that link but reported it as correct.

I understand that the URL of this link is to a sub-site (may it be sub-site as in Multisite install or just a separate website under subdomain) of your site and you have full control over that site, right?

I think there may be some “under the hood” reason for the issue so first thing to do would be to check why Broken Link Checker “thinks” this link is broken.

Please go to the list of broken links then and find that link there. Then hover over the “Status” for that link and a “Details” link will show up so click on it.

In a right column you’ll see the “Log” section so please copy and share with us here entire information form there (both “Response headers” and “Request headers”.

Hopefully this will give some additional insight into the case.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hello @jamesthepost ,

We haven’t heard from you for several days now, so it looks like you don’t have any more questions for us.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards
    Kasia
