• So, I have shelved blogrolling for the time being and I’m trying to use the link manager for my blog reads again.
    I have the links showing as updated in January. Any clues? Yes, I have CHMODed the weblogs.com.changes.cache file to 666 and I don’t have anything in my index.php header as I’m running 1.0, it wasn’t in the header anywhere. When I try to add it in, it throws an error with the links-update-xml.php on line 49.
    I have this in my index.php
    <?php get_links(-1, ”, ”, ”, 0, ‘name’, 0, 0, -1, 1) ?>
    Basically, is there an actual reason my links are showing updated in December 2003 and January 2004 time frame, or is it just one of those things?
    Oh, here’s the URL, it’s on the sidebar.
    Thanks in advance! ??

  • The cache file from weblogs.com will contain the last 3 hours of updates (if I remember correctly). So once your new cache is pulled, if anyone updated during that time, the links updated should update.

    Thanks Nick for your help. ??

    It’s working!!!! You have a few links with “New!!” next to them.

    I have updated links for the ones that have recently posted showing now. The others are still in January, but I’m sure in a few days it will work itself out, right? ?? Thanks again Nick!

    Yeah, it’ll take a few days (until each one updates) since the cache file only includes the last few hours.
    Glad I could help! ??

    I (like the others) am getting this error now. It’s a new WP install 1.2 and I get the error as described above.
    Every once-in-a-while I get the error:
    ‘Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/~myuserhome~/wp-includes/links-update-xml.php’
    Upon refresh it goes away.
    This file has same permissions as my other WP blog and settings are very similar.
