More a suggestion, or maybe a missing hint (or should i go and clean up my glasses ??

    Stumbled upon the following:
Add the Link Library Widget to your Page, with the following settings:
    – Link Category All categories
    – Sort by Random
    – Number of links to show: 10

From the description i would guess that the widget will show 10 links at all, but it shows 10 per Category.

The Links widget is not provided by Link Library. It is a default Widget provided with the core link management function in WordPress.

If you want to use Link Library in a widget. For the moment, you need to use a widget to allow shortcodes to work in text widgets, then use one of the link Library shortcodes in a widget.

I am looking into building some widgets into future versions of Link Library. Stay tuned!

Adding the “Shortcodes in Sidebar Widgets” I added a text widget to the sidebar and added the LL shortcode [link-library settings=1]. Is there a setting where I can limit the number of links shown to say the ten most recent rather than all links (dozens it now loads into the sidebar?

There is a field ‘Max number of links to display’ in the library settings. There is no way to override this using shortcode arguments at this time, though it could be added.
