    Hi,
I wrote a post and integrate a link to another page. When I look at the link in the preview (backend) it is visible and therefore I can click on it. When I look at the link in the frontend it is not visible. But if I activated read more link (customizer) and click on the read more then the link is clickable.
What is wrong. is this a bug?
    Please help.
    Doris

  • @dorleeins thank you for your question.

But if I activated read more link (customizer) and click on the read more then the link is clickable.

When you enable the “Read more” button on each post, the post’s excerpt will be shown in a limited length of plain text preview. That’s why any HTML tags will be omitted.

This is not an issue with the theme. But it is part of WordPress core feature. Perhaps you may want to modify it? If so, I’d recommend checking this article.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,
    sorry I was ill.

It doesn’t matter how I do it, I’ve tried the Gutenberg editor and also the Classic editor. If the Read-More link is activated in the Customizer, the Read-More link ALWAYS appears, no matter how many words the text consists of. If the Read-More link is deactivated in the Customizer, the Read More link set in the article via the Classic Editor does not appear either.

I read the post and unfortunately did not quite understand it. ??

Before the update came from Sydney, everything worked perfectly well

    thank you for the help
