• We have a multi-language site and are using elementor. On top left hand site (site header) we have the site title visible in the main and all subpages (so standard configuration). How to set a link there? When I click on it I dont get an option to set the link. Where can I do that?

You want to linkify a single post’s title? Why? Isn’t the user already on the right page? If the title were a link, wouldn’t it just cause the same page to reload? This is in part why there is no editor link option for titles.

It’s up to your theme whether to linkify a title or not. Normally titles on archive pages link to the post’s single page. The single post page’s title is not linkified because we’re already there. If you were to linkify the title yourself, it’ll likely cause problems on archive pages when your theme tries to linkify a title that’s already a link.

What are you trying to accomplish by linkifying a title? Maybe there’s a different approach that will accomplish your goal.

I think that is a usual approach: e.g. the visitor is on a subpage and wants to go to the homepage, but there is no menu section for the homepage(and no plans to make a menu link to the homepage), so he clicks on the title. The title is visible on every page of the whole site.

Sounds like you want a breadcrumb trail up to ancestor pages? If your theme does not already offer one, there are plugins that will do that.

    No, no breadcrumbs.

Look at the screenshot below. Let say we are on Wikipedia subpage about “Test”. And now we want to go back the homepage or starting/main page of Wikipedia. We click on the Logo on top left hand side, correct? That is why I need. But instead of Logo we have only a text there, a title. And we want to place a link to the homepage with the page title. Sorry if I dont use professional terminology and could not understand that immediately.

Well, not the best example because the logo represents a different page, a title represents the current page ?? I get your meaning though. For me it’s counter intuitive to click on a title to go elsewhere. But it’s your site, not mine, do as you wish.

You could modify your theme’s single post template to linkify the title just like an archive template linkifies post titles. The link’s destination is up to you.
