Link in sidebar not working

Hello,

I have a 2010 child theme set up and have added 2 narrow sidebars to my home page using the Digital Raindrops tutorial.

The problem – I have created a sidebar text widget (left sidebar) which links to the Fine Art page but this does not work when clicked. The code has been tested and is OK.

I have used Firefox and Firebug to look at the home page and in my (newbie) opinion, the code for the sidebar in the wrong place e.g. after the main container code… I think therefore, that the code needs moving so that it is before the main content code as the main container is blocking the sidebar widget.

Can anyone confirm that my thinking is correct and if so, what block of code do I need to move.
