Link in banner, after the jump

Was wondering if any of you experts could help me out with this…

1.) How do I insert a link into my banner? Preferably, I want the banner to link back to the home page.

2.) I have a “after the jump” code inserted into each post (!–more–) but when you click on it it goes to the space right below the break. Is there a way to make it go to the top of the post rather than halfway through?

3.) I’d like to be able to control the space in between buttons on the right side of the page in the widget side bar. I tried using <p> tags, but I can’t increase or reduce the space in between buttons.
