link icon on toolbar doesn't work

I am trying to link a post with my store. In the post I wrote “Click HERE to register” in the past i could then highlight “HERE”, hit the link icon and a box would appear allowing me to plug in the url on the product. Now when I highlight the “here” and click the link icon, nothing happens
