Link icon not working

    Hi Forum.

    I just updated my wordpress to 4.2.2 & My link button is active not greyed out. But when I click on it its not giving me the options, But I did a copy url and then I highlighted the text and write click paste, and I then can see the the word has been given a link. The link does work but not to my advantage because its not opening a new tab, so its navigating me away from my dashboard. I just deleted the theme I was using by the way. I do have some plugins but could this be whats causing this issue.

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi James!

    That was the solution, I deactivated all the plugins and its workings. I didnt really try one by one because there are so many. So once Im done Ill just activate them again.

    Does one of them have “nofollow” or “dofollow” in the title? A few of those have been turning up as common causes.
