Link from soundcloud doesn’t play

    I’m experimenting with SSP in development mode. There is no public link at this time.
    My problem is coming when I test a sample post from files I currently have on Soundcloud.
    Here is what I’m doing:
    Under podcast file, I’m pasting the entire page URL from Soundcloud.
    Here is the result:
    The program doesn’t appear to find the audio file. It doesn’t calculate duration or file size.
    When I publish, the player appears, but does nothing when play is clicked.
    However, the “play on separate page” does take me to the Soundcloud page where things work fine.
    I don’t think there are cache conflicts and I can’t find any plugin issues. I’m thinking there MUST be a setting somewhere I didn’t do properly.
    Any guidance would be appreciated!

    Follow up:
    Found a document stating if it was a nginx or WP Engine server there could be a problem. Checked with Bluehost and this site is on an Apache server.

    Hi there. If you’re able to access your RSS feed on soundcloud you can find view the actual feed contents and search for the .mp3 file URL. That’s the value you’ll want to paste into the Podcast Episode Details area. Unfortunately the track URL on SoundCloud isn’t how/where the file is played, only the link that you can find in the feed itself.
