• Hello! I know this topic was closed last year but I’m wondering if this functionality is now available or do I still need to purchase the premium version of Virtue?

    Here is the original post:

I have created two separate portfolio grid pages. Each portfolio item has different items and has an icon on the top right side.

On the Virtue demo site the icon links back to the main portfolio page, it also has right and left arrows next to it that goes to the next portfolio item.

Is it possible to have that icon link to two separate portfolio pages so the items in each portfolio link back to the correct portfolio page?

  • Hey,
That option is only built into the premium theme. Using the premium theme you can choose which page you want to be the “parent” page for each portfolio post in the post options.

If premium isn’t an option then one thing you can do is just remove the navigation so there is no confusion. Or you can create a child theme to create this customization but you will need to add metaboxes and edit the main single portfolio loop.

I was looking through the Premium demo and it seems like there’s one main portfolio page and then there are subcategories under Portfolio (All, Design, Photography, Video). Is that how it would be structured? The different categories would all fall under ‘Portfolio’?

Also, when I tested out the portfolio grid link under the subcategory ‘Design’, it still pointed back to the main ‘Portfolio’ page and not the ‘Design’ subcategory. Is that something that can be changed?

    Hey,
The demo is not set up to have two different portfolios. It’s just one so it uses one grid page.

The options are there for two, you would add two different parent portfolio types. Then for each portfolio grid you could have child types inside if you liked.
