• Hello,

A few of our customers are having issues with Link, as when trying to type in the verification code the first time, the email field is still highlighted instead of the field for the number input.

So for example, I type in my email address in the first field or autofill the fields, then the modal pops up for Link – at this point I try to type my number however the Link fields don’t fill, either the email address gets the number appended or it ends up in the First Name field.

This causes the email address to sometimes be filled in incorrectly, hence the customer gets no order correspondence.

The second issue with this is the modal/lightbox to input the Link code is too large on mobile devices which makes it not very user friendly.

Finally, when clicking the ‘Autofill with Stripe/Link’ button after you have inputted the 6 digit code, this goes ahead and completes the payment and takes the customer to the thank you page. This means the customer is unable to register for an account/add order notes etc – is it possible that the autofill button could do just that, and autofill the transaction without fully completing it?

Feel free to test on our site by adding a product and going to the normal checkout, enter your email and you should get the Link popup.

Many thanks for your time and help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @masidus

Do you have a staging site where this can be re-created using test mode? It’s difficult to test on a live site. The Link popup will only appear if the email address used is associated with Link.

The second issue with this is the modal/lightbox to input the Link code is too large on mobile devices which makes it not very user friendly.

All of the UX for Link is controlled by Stripe. It could be that your theme is affecting some of the styling of the Link modal and causing that UX issue.

This means the customer is unable to register for an account/add order notes etc – is it possible that the autofill button could do just that, and autofill the transaction without fully completing it?

This would require some new functionality in the plugin and an option in the Admin area so merchants can specify if they want auto-submit behavior or not.

    Kind Regards,
