All of the links in my Link Library are steel there, but suddenly there are no categories assigned to them.

I tried to go back a version like the 6.0 release notice recommended, but my server configuration won’t take a file that large. I’m going to fix that (sigh!).

I suspect I’ll still have the problem that the link categories are gone. I have accumulated hundreds of links – manually resetting all of them to categories will be a major task!

You still have links without categories after re-importing? For other users, this cleared duplicated and corrected categories.

Yes, the triplicates are still in the list. I now have 1,299 links, and 75% of them are not assigned to categories.

The system works again, though, so my users will be happy. ??

Odd, I have had good success on other sites with the fixes I implemented today. Only thing I can think of would be to install a plugin like Bulk Delete, delete all custom post types of type link_library_links, then run the re-import again.

If you could add “None Assigned” to the Category Filter list, it wouldn’t be hard to delete them manually.

I will see if this is possible this evening. Or a button in admin to delete all links that do not have a category assigned.

Yes, a button in Admin would be better. Good luck, and thanks for all of your hard work.

I used Bulk Delete and re-imported, per your suggestion. All is fixed now. Thanks again!

Glad to hear it. Thanks for the update.

Not sure when it happened, but since I last looked, my links library replicated and reproduced to over 18,000 links. That means I can’t export the links to re-import them back in. This weekend, going to work on rolling back to a previous version from backups and hope I can restore things. FYI.

You don’t need to export and re-import. Just go into the General Options section and press the re-import button. This will delete the converted links from the new format, and re-do the conversion from the legacy 5.9 Link Library data.

    Should be a painless process.

Did you get the mail with my export of settings ?

I looked into the source of my site , where links should be shown as a table. There aren’t any table tags at all. Also, when try to change the options for display to unordered list, it’s not saved.

Let me know which details you need to get into this behavior.

Sorry, that one got lost in all of the e-mails I hasve been getting around this. I see that there is something strange with the display format setting. I should be able to investigate this evening.

I have made fixed in version 6.0.14 for the link format settings. Your links should now properly display as a table. This new version will be out in next hour or so.

    @jackdewey

Thanks a bunch! It’s working again now.
