When using the link button with WP 4.2.2 and Syntax Highlighting in WordPress HTML Editor Version 1.6.7 extra attributes are added to the link regardless of the link settings. For example,
title="undefined"is added to all links.target="_blank"is correctly added when “Open link in a new window/tab” is selected, howevertarget=""is added even when the option is deselected. Also the “Link Text” field is not inserted as link text.
