Link between old site and new site

  • Hi all,
    This is my first support case on this forum and I hope I am in the right place. I understand there are rules on such forums and would not like to offend anyone.

    Case:
    We brought a new domain and moved to WP Org (previously on WP.com). After we transferd all the content from the old blog (wordpress.com with a brought domain) was copied to the new one, we went live.

    There are still users, accessing old links (social media, other platforms) and which are routed to our old blog (also live due to this)

    I would like to connect / redirect posts from the old blog to the new one. I tried some redirect modules but non worked.

    Example:

    Send
    https://www.oldblog.com/content_and_date/
    to
    https://www.newblog.ro/content_and_date/

    So, any thoughts? Suggestion how I can connect two links?

    Can you please check whether siteurl and home entries in wp_options in database whether they are having Old URL or New if old the then change it to new.Then Goto permalink setting update the permalink setting.Now check your site.

    Hei,
    Permalink on the new blog is set to the correct name.

    Yet i want to divert traffic from WP.com to WP.org
