link-add.php error – Can’t add links to WP anymore

  • No one is responding to my thread in the troubleshooting section so, after 3 days of waiting, I’m posting it here:

    When I try to access the link-add.php file in my wp-admin folder the file isn’t working. Clicking on the “add link” tab in the “Blogroll” section of my WP dashboard redirects me to the front page of my site.

    The file was modified when I upgraded to 2.2.1 a few weeks ago… haven’t tried to access it since then. Any ideas for why this happened and, more importantly, how I can fix it? I tried overwriting the file with an older WP version, but that didn’t fix the problem either.
