Link added to button. Loads (jumps) top of pg, then rests under text.

Hello,
I have created a button a few different ways. It is fine until I add the link…linked element loads at top of page, then rests below text where it ought to be. It does not look very “smooth”…
Why does it happen, and how can I fix this?
