Lingotek Slug Synchronisation

    Hi,

    I’m using lingotek with polylang-slug. The latter allows you to

    Allows same slug for multiple languages in Polylang

    It is possible to use both at the same time but lingotek do not make use by default of the polylang-slug capabilities; You must sync (to the same) the slugs by hand after.

    I’ve contacted the plugin autor and it looks

    ” I would raise the issue with Lingotek. It should be easier for them to find the issue as they know their codebase.     Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We would be interested in learning more about the Polylang Slug plugin and what would need to be done to support this feature. We handle the creation of translated Posts separately from Polylang and so there may need to be some synchronization of how we do it with the developer of Polylang Slug.

    @erichie If you have questions I am here to help. The polylang slug hooks into wp_unique_post_slug to check if the slug is unique only in it’s language instead of across all languages.

    I expect the problem lies somewhere when generating the new posts.

    Sharing slugs is now a feature in Polylang Pro which Lingotek supports.
