• Hi,
since the WP update yesterday, the theme has a couple of issues so far. On a product page in Chrome, there’s a little rectangle next to the product image where if you click on it, the slideshow comes up (I don’t recall what that icon was before, but pretty sure it wasn’t this). In Edge, it’s just a grey box.

Also, the ‘to top’ button at the bottom of the page is just a circle, it doesn’t have an arrow or anything to signify it’s ‘to top’. In Edge it looked ok for a second but the arrow disappeared.

So far, that’s all I’ve noticed. Thank you!

Noticed that ‘to top’ icon is ok on other pages like Contact, About and home. But on blog, shop, product page it is solid.

    Hello @iguanamom,

Assuming that you are using the latest 1.7.3 OceanWP theme version, as well as the 1.5.19 Ocean Extra plugin version, please first go to Elementor > Settings > Advanced and make sure that the Load Font Awesome 4 Support is set to NO (bottom option).

Go to Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles, first disable all scripts and save changes, then enable back again and save changes.

After that, clear your entire browser/website/cloud cache, even several times if needed (sometime this can get stuck).

Let us know if it worked for you

    Hi,

    thanks for the prompt reply.

I tried all of those. The icon for the mag glass came back, but not the ‘to top’ arrow. I looked in inspect and messed around in that but nothing brought it back. I had mentioned the arrow was showing on other pages but those must’ve been cached…it no longer shows on those. I’m not running server cache or cloudflare. Tried in incognito mode using a ctrl F5 every time a change was made and it didn’t work. Tried disabling/enabling things that seemed to make sense within the script styles and panels to narrow down first but that didn’t work. I did disable all and go back to re-enable the ones I had checked. Didn’t work.

Tried adding in that fa icon css which I had in there from the last time you guys had issues with it and that took them away completely (icons at top of screen for social,e tc.).

Tried a couple other things but nothing worked. So basically, I’m still stuck. Any other ideas?

You had also mentioned about having to refresh cache a few times. I’ve always had trouble with switching out images on the homepage where it simply will not refresh unless you do a ctrl F5. That worries me for visitors to the site who won’t see changes that are made. I run elementor on many other sites and this is the only one with the problem. The text changes right away (without a refresh) but not the photo. Why is that?

    Thanks!

    Hello @iguanamom,

Clearing cache several times refers to a caching plugin, if you’re using any.

Would you be so kind and go to Appearance > Themes, as well as Plugins > Installed Plugins and check what theme and Ocean Extra versions are you using?

And you also made sure to disable Font Awesome 4 Support within Elementor?

You must also delete any codes like:

    .fa { font-family: FontAwesome; }

from the Customizer, since the FA 5 uses a different font class and font family.

If you added any extra codes for your icons previously missing, delete them. Then clear the cache and check the website again

    Hi,
thanks for the tips. Yes, all of those were set and correct. I ended up changing the icon type to double arrows and putting the hover background to something else and it showed up. I think it must’ve just been the changing of the icon type which made it appear and not a problem with the hover, as I have changed the hover colour a few times and it does show up. Should’ve looked at this first!

Thanks for your time and patience!
