Line under linked images in sidebar widget

  • Hi,

    I am working on this site: https://myoga.com/newsite/

    The Theme is Twenty Twelve.

    I am trying to get the small lines under the linked social media icons in the right hand sidebar/widget to go away.

    I have played around with the bottom-border associated with the sidebar widget in the CSS and no luck so far.

    Can you help me out?

  • Your question is not related to WordPress but CSS. Have you tried the a img {border: none}

    Hi sophiefire13. I don’t think those are lines per-se. It appears to be something between the images. The only thing I noticed is that it appears the image elements are using a closing “/” but it’s between the image src and the width attribute. In HTML5 the img element is defined as a “Void element” and, as such, doesn’t require a closing slash. But, if it’s used, I think it should be the last character in the element. I don’t know if it will make any difference but you might try moving, or removing, the “/”. Hope that helps.

    My client actually decided she does not want these here in the sidebar, but rather in the footer.

    Do either of you know offhand how to insert social media icons into the footer for the Twenty Twelve Theme?

    I’ve never used Twenty Twelve but found a couple of references:
    This post discusses adding icons to footer.php, and this article shows how to add widgets to the footer.
