line spacing changes and image drop shadow

I have the Food and Diet theme.
I want to change the line space between paragraphs on pages and blogs.
I tried adding the snippet re margin-bottom but it didn’t work.
The editor in the dashboard doesn’t work for css even though I changed the permissions. But I’ve created a child theme anyway and am just adding css modifications below the line.
I also want to get rid of the drop shadow and outline around images when you insert them into pages and posts, so that I just have the clean image.
