Line breaks removed after block-quote

  • Hey,
    I’m using visual editor but also had this problem in the past in plain wordpress editor, and never been able to solve it.

    The next line after a blockquote apears ‘sqaushed’ into the blockquote.
    I couldn’t add a line break between then, using:
    – just pressing ‘enter’
    – &nbsp
    – <p></p>
    – Div tags,
    – pressing shift-enter at the end of the quote
    – and probably other methods

    Why doesn’t wordpress just insert a line break when I press ‘enter’?

    What can I do ?

  • this might be caused by the formatting of your currently used theme.

    what theme are you using?

    can you provide a live link to a post or page with the blockquote/linebrak issue?

    does this also happen if your temporarily switch to the default theme Twenty Sixteen?

    I believe it might be a problem with visual composer, not with WP itself.
