Line breaks in post

  • Hi,

    I am really struggling with line breaks in my post content.
    So I write a post , it looks great in the editor and as soon as I preview it on my website, all the line breaks are gone so the text looks all squished together.

    I am running WordPress 5.4.2

    Here is a list of things I have tried :

    – add <p> , <br> , <div> using the HTML editor : it works temporarily, if I save then the line breaks appear but as soon as I leave the HTML editor and go back to the normal text editor to continue writing my post, the html tags I’ve added get cleaned out and removed completely.

    – use “Raw HTML” but if I activate any option it removes the font I’ve uploaded for my website and reverts to the generic font

    Any help would be appreciated !

    If you are using the new Block Editor, try using using Shift+Enter for Line break or New Para within the Same Para.
