• Hello everybody
Iam running WordPress 3.8.1 with “Rundown” theme and “suscribe to comments” plugin.
Many people leaves comments on my blog and unfortunatly the texts sent are formated : line breaks (Enter key) are not returned and are replaced by a space.
This issue is unpleasant for the reader who comment.
How can I resolve this disadvantage ?

    Thanks

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Thanks esmi for your reply. While switching to the default theme, comments are correctly displayed. I suspected the theme to generate the issue. I remember it worked perfectly. I didn’t install any plugins for a long time.
I deactivated all plugins but this do not resolves the problem.
I confess that I do not know where to look. Do I have to reinstall the theme ? Where to invertigate ?

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?
