Line Breaks converted to Paragraphs in Widget

Whenever I add a Spot to a Sidebar and Save it, any text that would be a Line-Break is converted to a Paragraph. I then have to go back to the Spot editor to fix it. This happens every time I update the Spot under Appearance > Widgets.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
