Line breaks being added to custom fields

I’m using WP All Import to bring in posts and assign custom fields for those posts. In every custom field that uses a text box of WYSIWYG box, there are tags being added. Lists now have
<br>in between all<li>tags. There is a<br>after every<p>now. I thought maybe if I altered the XML file that I was importing to have everything on one line, instead of each<li>on it’s own line, the problem would be solved, but it’s still persisting. In the actual text box or WYSIWYG box, the HTML looks fine, no line breaks, but when I view the content on the front end, that’s when the line breaks appear.I’m using a custom theme, one that I use for all sites I develop. I am no stranger to the ACF plugin, I’ve used it on many websites. But this is the first time I have experienced the problem with the
<br>tags.Any insight into this? I’m using version 4.3.7 of the plugin, so it’s not entirely out of date (I know there is a minor update, but I haven’t updated it just yet).
