Limiting the user from deleting a post

  • Hello,

    Does your plugin offer the ability to limit a user from deleting a particular CPT post? I am creating a new user type called “Member” which is a more limiting version of the author. These “members” will have access to two types of CPT’s on the backend but I would like to limit them from deleting their posts in one type of CPT’s, or at least have an admin or editor grant access to delete. Is this possible? Maybe even with the extension package of this plugin?

    @ruffpast,

    Seems like you are looking to restrict the ability to delete posts that belong to some specific Custom Post Type. You can set the default access to any CPT and restrict the ability for user type “Member” to delete any posts that belong to it.

    This video can give you some ideas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1UROy-qMM8. Basically you need to use Posts & Terms DELETE option and you would need to have Plus Package in order to define default access to posts.
