Limiting # of Days in Calendar View

  • I’m building a couple sites that both need calendar functionality. I really like this plugin but was wondering if there was a way to limit the calendar view so that it displays just one week. Like if there’s a weekend of conferences there doesn’t have to be this whole month of empty dates with 3-5 days clustered together. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Hey Coe_Lacy. Thanks for the note here, and for your interest in the plugin. At this point there is no dedicated week view, unfortunately – but in the 3.0 release that we’re finalizing now, we do indeed have a freshly-minted week view that we’re pretty stoked over.

    If you’d be interested in playing around with that code, so we could see how week view works for a user who is actually going to be relying on it, we’d be more than happy to hook you up. It’s not stable enough to be installed on a live site, but is definitely a functional beta that could run nicely on a staging environment or test site.

    No pressure, though. If you’re not interested know that week view is finished and awaiting deployment in 3.0, which we should have out over the next couple months. Let me know if I can answer any other questions or help you out any more here.

    I’m certainly down to test it out; we talked a bit about it and for the current site I’m working on we might just default to the events view (I think there are about 9-10 events), but having that week view could still prove pretty useful in the nearish future.
