Limited to 10 icons

  • All I would ask for is to be informed in advance about this fact, suddenly popping-up:

    “It looks like you’re trying to install and use more than 10 icons. Unfortunately the free version limits the number of custom icons to 10. If you’d like to access more than 10 custom icons, please consider upgrading to the Pro Version”

    For such cunning deception even 1 star is too much!

    This was clearly and openly announced announced in the change log, before and during the update process.

    Were sorry that this free plugin now has a few reasonable limitations. We had to monetize it one way or another. The number of support requests was growing out of control. Giving away and supporting a free plugin is a lot of hard work, and completely unrealistic to expect for the duration of the plugins life.

    Unfortunately thats just the way it is. We too have overhead that needs to be taken care of. We’re sorry you feel that you were deceived. You may want to give the font awesome plugin a shot if your looking to use more than 10 icons.

    Dear Evan,

    I am not criticising that you design the plug-in the way you want, but that you keep the users in the dark about that limitation!

    I used it on the site of an African friend, they don’t have much money there, and now I can re-do my work — because I promised her no extra costs.

    Its about information policy, so to say ??

    I’m sorry that the change effected a client site you were working on. You can always access previous versions in the repository , so you can download a previous version without the limitation for your client. That will roll things back safely.
