Limited performance due to missing identifiers [gtin, mpn, brand]

    I am working on fixing issues with my Google merchant feed. I sell handmade and vintage goods so I do not have GTIN, MPN etc. In field mapping I have Brand, GTIN and MPN left blank. I also set up Identifier exists to display “false” in the feed. However I am getting the following message in Merchant Center: Limited performance due to missing identifiers [gtin, mpn, brand]

    How do I fix this? I read somewhere last night that you can create a rule in Google Merchant Center telling them the identifiers do not exist but I cannot figure it out. I need explicit details with examples I think on exactly how to do that.

    Right now I am in merchant center and clicking on each item with the issue and manually checking the box that says this is a one of a kind or vintage item for each product. this will take me forever and I wonder, will it all revert back once the feed refreshes???????

  • Hi Lisa,

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. The “Limited performance due to missing identifiers [gtin, mpn, brand]” is just Google saying that the performance of your products could be better if you add those identifiers to your feed. There is no need to take action upon that notification when you just don’t have those.

    Assuming the issue has been resolved and our help is no longer required we will close this topic for housekeeping reasons now.
