Limited Pages in Parent Page Drop Down in Page Attributes

  • Hi All – I am looking for a solution to a problem I have experienced. In our system when I select a page to edit which is a child (of say 2 other pages) it looks like .org/page1/page2/this-is-the-page-i’m-editing.

    When I go to open this page in edit mode it shows no parent page. When I go look for the parent in the drop down it doesn’t show them. I noticed a lot of the pages are not showing in the page attribute parent drop down. I’m looking to know how I can fix this. Basically I am not seeing all pages in the parent page drop down.

    Let me know if you have a fix.

  • First you need to determine where the root of the problem is. Try:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I tested your suggestion and it doesn’t work with all plugins deactive as well as the theme on a default theme.
