Limit to One Category

  • I can’t seem to make the shortcode only show one category. Ive tried the ‘display only’ option. Ive tried excluding all the others. Ive tried the override within the shortcode. Ive tried display only one category using the category ID from within the library congif settings. What am I doing wrong?

    Happy to offer login creds if need be.

    Can you show me the syntax you tried using to override within the shortcode? Plugin developers are not allowed to accept login credentials from users.

    [link-library settings=1 categorylistoverride=273]

    I’ve tried with and without the quotes on both parameters.

    Shouldnt it work withing the library config settings?

    Also, when I am in the backend category list and click on ‘view’ it takes me to…
    /link_library_category/around-the-web/
    and it is a missing page.
    if I delete the /link_library_category part it shows a list of links (though not limited to the single category)

    Sorry for the lack of response. Let me tackle both subjects here.

    For the category view link not working, Link Library is not intended using these types of URLs. I will try to see how to hide them. Normally, you should only view your links by placing shortcodes from Link Library in one or more pages of your site.

    For the issue about not being able to show a single category, you should normally be able to set the categories to be displayed in the Common tab of the library configuration, by checking off the “Show All Categories” box, then selecting the categories to be displayed.

    Could you export your library settings where you tried to select a single category and e-mail them to me? ylefebvre at gmail.
