    Hi,

I would like to have a coupon apply towards the purchase of X items. This could be in one transaction or several, and may be used by different people. But after it has been used to purchase X items, the coupon should no longer work.

I’ve gone to Usage limits > Limit usage to X items and set a number here. However, the coupon continues to work once that number has been reached. I think maybe this field refers to usage within a single transaction?

I’ve also tried Usage restriction > Maximum quantity of matching products, but the coupon continues to work once that number has been reached.

How do I achieve my goal?

    Thanks!

    Hi @ipweanz,

    Greetings from WebToffee!

We are sorry for the delayed response. Since you need to offer the discount only to the X number of products, you can use the Fixed product discount type coupon and add these products to the product restriction table. (Usage Restrictions > Products > Add only the products you need to offer the discount). You choose Product Condition as “Any” or “All” depending on your need. Choosing “Any” allows you to use the coupon if any of the product is added to the cart and “All” allows you use them if all of them are collectively available in the cart.
Set the Usage limit per user to 1 (Usage limits > Usage limit per user) to make the coupon unusable after a single use for each user. Check it out this way and let us know how it goes.
