Limit the amount of posts each user can have?

Hi,

As the title says is it possible to restrict a specific user role to add and edit only ONE post for his account?

If so, Would it also be possible to restrict a second user role and let them edit only TWO posts for their account?

Basically what I would like to achieve is restricting different user roles to a maximum number of allowed posts depending on their role.

I have not even tested this plugin yet, I am just looking for a solution.
