Limit search results from posts and pages not from all content on site

I’am thrilled that found this great global search plugin working on multisite subdomain install. It works, didn’t have a hiccup to follow instruction and install. I am not a coder, don’t do php nor functions coding, barely understand shortcode, that is why I cannot do filter, add function (or whatever it is) to limit search results only from posts and pages. Search results list all results according date it was published, not relevancy, how many times keyword fraze is mentioned in posts/pages. Also it includes words mentioned in sidebar, title, menu, footer…
I have genesis, eleven40 theme and need some function search filter I can put into function.php file to exclude everything else from search besides posts and pages on all subdomains, domain in my network.
