• Hi

I have a limit that the user can only buy for example 2 Jackets.
However, I have made my jackets in different sizes with the help of variations / attributes

The limit is specified, I can only buy 2 jackets in size Small, but then I can buy 2 jackets in size Medium and so on.
How can I make my limit work with all sizes on that jacket (or all variations of that jacket)?

    Hi @cybertron1,

Not sure if I understood it correctly, but there is “Use variations” checkbox in “WooCommerce > Settings > Maximum Products per User > General”.

If it’s enabled: you will be able to set limit for each variation separately, and the plugin will allow your customers to buy 2 pcs. of each variation, i.e. 4 pcs. in total.

If it’s disabled: you will set the limit for the whole variable product, i.e. your customers will be able to buy only 2 pcs. in total, for example, 1 pcs. or each variation, or 2 pcs. x size small + 0 pcs. x size medium and so on.

Please let me know if that helps.

This is how i thought it would work. But it doesn′t

    @cybertron1,

Hmm, that’s odd… So how many products are you allowed to buy now with “Use variations” option disabled? 2 of each variation (i.e. 4 in total)? Or maybe it’s not limited at all now?

    yes, 2 of each variation.

so if i have 10 variations i can buy 20 products.but only 2 of the same variation.

Is there any way to upload pictures ? then I can show you how it looks

coudl it be that I haven′t actually bought it ? and just putting it in cart?

seems like the problem is that I can put many inn cart but not buy them!, so i guess the bug is there,

It seems to work as it should, however you can put as many variationbs as you like in the cart

and if you push the order through it will add the different variations and place the order anyway discarding the limit

    Hi @cybertron1,

There is “Validate on add to cart” checkbox (in “WooCommerce > Settings > Maximum Products per User > Frontend”) – this should stop you from adding wrong products to the cart.

As for the screenshots – you can send them to me directly to [email protected].

Yes, that checkbox is checked. (and works after I have ordered)

I recorded two small movies and sent them to your mail. hopefully they work.
