Limit number of posts on homepage

  • Hi,

    I am trying to limit the number of posts that show up on the homepage of my site. Settings -> Reading is currently set at 4 but every single published post is still showing up. Any ideas? I have also disabled Infinite Scroll.

    I have been searching everywhere for a solution! I have also tried disabling all plugins but am the problem persists.

    Another solution would be to only allow sticky posts on the homepage.

    Any ideas? Desperate!

    ***Edit***** Sticky posts seem to be what is causing this. Does the post limit under Settings -> General not include sticky posts?

    Sticky posts are designed for only a couple of posts or so, and it does add to the number of posts that show on the main page.
