Limit Notifications to On Publish Only (Turn off On-Update)

Thank you so much for your patience and time reading this.

I noticed recently that if push notifications are set to Automatic, then we have a push notification each and everytime we save an article.

Is there a way to have a checkbox so we can indicate if notifications are sent on post update. (We use OneSignal Push Notifications and they have a similar feature). Otherwise people will get notified every time we make a change and eventually turn off notifications for our application.
